You could message them and ask how it's handled, but you basically want the Horizontal and Vertical sync signals on VGA side to be combined into Composite Sync for SCART side.

I haven't seen the Retrotek box before, but it looks like it should work for your purposes. It's very specific so obviously not as flexible as a SB-2840 (ie. you can't put it on the end of a SCART switch with multiple analog RGB consoles).Wavebeamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11644903338651232330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983071088061280156.post-90452863602613072412017-10-16T19:45:56.450-07:002017-10-16T19:45:56.450-07:00Thanks for the reply. I have a review of it on this site with some pictures from GroovyMAME actually. Regarding the cable, sorry, I don't have time now to make any. I'm not sure where you can buy a proper one, but maybe try contacting a cable maker like retro_console_accessories on eBay with the specs or get a UMSA (Ultimate SCART Adapter).Wavebeamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11644903338651232330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983071088061280156.post-38557646538497279912017-10-16T16:12:31.303-07:002017-10-16T16:12:31.303-07:00480i not 470i 480i not 470i Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08840438647229683752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983071088061280156.post-51788440220202791102017-10-16T16:11:43.692-07:002017-10-16T16:11:43.692-07:00Hi - thanks for all of this information. I was told that I'd need a Shinybow SB-2840 to convert VGA-->Scart RGB-->Component. Do you know if that is correct? If so would I just need a VGA to Scart Cable like you built? And if so where can I buy one instead of making on? If you're up to making one I'd definitely buy it off of you :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08840438647229683752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983071088061280156.post-40595695944387688552017-10-15T20:04:52.638-07:002017-10-15T20:04:52.638-07:00Sorry I haven't heard of that particular probl...Sorry I haven't heard of that particular problem. Maybe check out the shmups forum, there's a lot of knowledgeable people on there that might be able to help you out. Also check out the comment a couple posts up where they mentioned using an AMD APU system with the R7. You may be able to find a pre-built system using R7 graphics with VGA output and you'd be 90% of the way there.Wavebeamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11644903338651232330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983071088061280156.post-19367910489543404102017-09-27T13:51:06.749-07:002017-09-27T13:51:06.749-07:00Hi WAVEBEAM!
